Devgen pharma has first-in-class small molecule kinase inhibitors for serious inflammatory
conditions. A first IND submission is expected by Q1 2009.

Promising validated pipeline in inflammation with significant upside potential

The lead compound CDE6963

  • A novel, potent, highly selective ROCK I/II inhibitor exhibiting excellent efficacy in
    pre-clinical models of IBD.
  • Low systemic bioavailability - with action localized to gut, which minimizes risk of
kinase-related systemic toxicity (e.g. cardiovascular effects), as reflected in the
    good early tolerability.
  • Literature supports a role for ROCK inhibition in Crohn’s disease and ulcerative
colitis as well as in treatment of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).
  • Pre-clinical development is expected to be completed in 2008.
  • Clinical development plan is in place (Clinquest).
  • Start of Phase I/II clinical development is scheduled for Q1-2009 in patients with
    moderate to severe Crohn’s.
