Devgen NV is developing a novel nematicide (nematode controlling product) with applicability to a broad group of important crops such as potato, carrots, cucumber, melons, bananas and other key crops. Nematodes are small worms damaging the roots and leading to a range of problems, including poor yield and in extreme cases to the entire loss of crops. Formulations have been developed that will provide farmers and growers with flexibility in application methods and timing, thus providing the basis for broad crop and geographical usage.
