In the context of a collaboration-agreement, running since 2001 and extended in 2006, Devgen has selected and validated novel insecticidal targets, developed high throughput assays and now uses its expertise in computational and medicinal chemistry to deliver insect active leads, which Sumitomo further evaluates for its potential commercial value. Under the terms of the agreement, Devgen receives research funding and is eligible for milestones and royalties.
